What is ANTHEVA ?

ANTHEVA is a Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) editor
, i.e. a tool to easilly create the graphical components of your Java applications.

This tool is issued from an older GUI editor called JGUIDev (freeware referenced by YAHOO!), wich version 1.1 was downloaded by more than 600 people, and that generates graphical interfaces as pre-compiled java classes.

With ANTHEVA (also referenced by YAHOO! and wich evaluation version was downloaded by more than 400 people), interfaces are represented as XML files, ultra light and easily reusable.

Why will you be interested by ANTHEVA ?

ANTHEVA is not supposed to be as good as the graphical editors of majors like Sun or IBM. But it should be great for people who are looking for an ultra light tool (only a couple of Ko against many Mo for other editors) and absolutely portable : Java 2 works with Linux, Windows, ... And XML is universal.

This editor either provides some special functionalities (you should like it...) :

Management of access modes :

when you open an interface you built, you can choose a mode (four modes are available : Add, Modify, Consult or Delete), the look of your components can be modified in the selected mode (hidden, disabled, editable, required) via the editor. Then the same field can be required in Adding mode and disabled in Consult mode. Useful for those who want to reuse their windows for update and consultation !!!

Multi-linguism :

all labels of your interfaces can be entered in different languages (defaut languages are English and French). So that you won't have to build n applications for n languages, but only one...

Your interfaces all have the same look :

every components defined with ANTHEVA will have the same look, pre-defined in a parameters file, whoever creates them. So that developers can buid their interfaces and then join their work without having to worry about the "global look" of the project.
